But I don’t have any Xmas wish list, sorry Oppos that doesn’t include you guys and gals. Instead I looked at Miata parts and bought new gauge faces. My car will never see that 160mph top speed.

I want a sequoia gauge cluster for my 4runner.

Enough nitrous and you’ll hit 160 not for very long, but you’ll hit it.

I feel like the gearing is to short to reach that speed.

I desperately need some of Adam’s goods in my car.

I considered purchasing the window and light toggle switch pieces, but they are still kinda pricey. I’m just going to make my own.

You’re correct. I believe the redline-limited top speed is around 130 to 135 mph. Mazdaspeed are like 129 mph, they’re actually slower (over the course a few full-throttle miles at Bonneville) than a regular Miata!

I saw Adam’s sale and I really thought hard about getting some for mine...but then I saw the Kinja Deal for Discount Tire and bought nearly $1000-worth of new tires and wheels instead.
Nice taste in the McLaren F1-inspired gauges.

I’ve made it to 120mph in my car and it had a little more to go before I thought it would quit. But 120 was enough. If I remember correctly, people complain about the gearing in MazdaSpeeds.

I like these gauges the most because the main focus is the tach, not the speedo. And the coolant temp and oil pressure gauges give you a better idea of the actual reading. I bought RPF1s at the end of the summer and my AS need to be replaced anyway. Plan on buying some Hankook RS-3s

Out of curiosity, what year is your NA? I know Miatas after ‘94 have dummy oil pressure gauges. I’m not sure about the coolant temp gauge but I’ve read up on fixes to make it behave in a more linear manner than “You’re fine...you’re fine...oops, you’re overheat-”*BANG!*

The 6-speed gear ratio combined with a 4.10 diff ratio (instead the regular 3.9 or the Aussie’s MSM of 3.63) and the redline being reduced by 500 rpm all contribute to making the MSM “Shift City”. This driver at SCCA Solo Nationals basically kept it on the limiter because he would’ve lost more time constantly shifting between 2nd and 3rd.

Oh, then you’re in the clear! Rock those gauges!
